Nonprofits, for-profits, and individuals. If an individual is chosen for Maude’s Ventures, they may be asked to create an LLC or similar entity to be the recipient of the investment

Annually we invite together a team of people living with dementia and their care partners to advise the Richard and Maude Ferry Foundation board in selecting winners.  Our rubric ranks ideas based on three factors:

• How important or urgent is the opportunity identified
• How scalable is the idea
• How qualified is the team to be successful

In 2024, applications will open on May 13th and remain open until August 5th.

Finalists will be invited to an interview, and chosen winners will be required to submit a full business plan, developing in coordination with the Maude’s Ventures team.

We can only accept international applications if the applicant has an equivalency determination or a partnership with a US-based 501(c)(3) with a “friends of” status through which the funds can be distributed.  This must be submitted with your application for the idea to be considered.
